Hi,
You may have heard the news regarding the Cabinet Office proposals to
use open standards (HTML, ODF, TXT and CSV). It appears to be a positive
step in the right direction - it's still a proposal, but comments can be
provided online, including support and constructive ideas. If you've an
interest in reading more about it and maybe helping the proposal along,
the link is:
http://standards.data.gov.uk/proposal/sharing-collaborating-government-documents
and if you do want to register to provide comments, for your convenience:
http://standards.data.gov.uk/user/register?destination=node/348
The rest of the 'standards hub' site is also worth a look, if you have
the time.
Cheers,
Mark
