It is an accelerometer/gyroscope. It gives both sets of figures (6 figures total).
While maths is not my favorite subject on the whole planet, I can or could follow formulae and transpose formulae. At one time (30 years ago) I could kinda-sorta hack Calculas.
Reading around I found that there's something called Kalman equations that might or might not be helpful. I'm going to try some basic experimentation so I get a better idea in my head about what's going on with the figures. I do have some mercury tilt switches on the way so I can put some of those in the system as a way of correcting errors. Meanwhile I'll also go back to basics and open my book on the V2 to see how von Braun managed level flight.
I do know that flight controllers exist. I am developing my own flight controller for my own purposes. Once the coding is sorted out for the Pi Pico for flight control I can use a Pi 4 for flight control and more intensive things like image processing or perhaps a Pico and a 4 running together. I'm not on a set timeframe or schedule for developing my flight controller and there are other projects I can work on while I consider issues or wait for parts to arrive.
