[Swlug] An interesting time with an accelerometer

I feel that the code will probably work. It seems to work in shake tests.
The problems I had encountered were twofold. First the Micropython screen refresh is a little lacking, leaving characters in place leading to strange values appearing. Secondly I have mounted the circuit board edge upward instead of flat so the wrong axis is being read. That's just a matter of shuffling the X, Y and Z axies around.
I believe you're talking about centrifugal force. It's an interesting idea but one that can be discounted because the drone will be equipped with GPS and possibly a magnetometer for turns etc. Turns sharp enough to bother the accelerometer can be controlled. The gyroscope function of the accellerometer is never used.
Thinking about a magnetometer, it would be interesting to see just how sensitive it is and whether it will pick up ferrous objects on the ground if it's mounted vertically.
