[Swlug] Captive Portals

Thanks PHo Bwz. I'd not heard of the term Captive Portal before. That sent me doing some interesting reading, at the end of which I was wondering why I don't just go the easy route and use an LCD display on the Pico.

Well, I ordered another display then looked at the one that never worked and noticed it was held on by some twisted metal tabs. I twisted them a bit further and tried powering the LCD and running the Tom's Hardware code. Lo and behold it worked this time. So it looks like the one I ordered is redundant as is the one that I can't find a connector to fit.

I shall return to Captive Portals. For the moment that has become a side project. Tomorrow's project will likely be putting resisters onto a matrix keypad so that the key values can be read by the ADC on the Pico using just two wires.

Meanwhile I'm still getting over this ear infection, standing for election as a trustee on the school board and going to have to do some car mechanics as my car just threw P1764 and P1759 error codes while also displaying a lack of enthusiasm for remaining engaged in gear. Oh and I'm doing that time-consuming worky thing too.
