Readers will function for some data sheets,  but would be really hard work for the tabular publications I used to use.

Probably the Texas manual together with downloads is the way to go. IC's are another story: pretty much all downloads. Some of the Babani books can be useful if picked up cheapish. Nothing especially advanced, but the IC ones seemed to work through the manufactures reference circuits. That's my memory anyway.

I bought a copy of The Transistor and Diode Data Book for Design Engineers by Texas Instruments. I suppose that if that proves insufficient I should maybe go ahead with printing spec sheets for all the stuff I have and putting it in my portable hanging file box or get myself some kind of eink ereader to read the PDFs.
