Clif, Thanks for that.

I've now retired from a career of Microsoft and SCO Unix. Whilst I still
use MS at home/hobby (mainly office applications and MySQL/PHP) I am more
and more frustrated by MS. I have dabbled with LINUX but would now like to
be 'serious' about it. One step was to apply to your organisation.

Best regards,

Kevin

p.s. Looking at Ubantu at moment.

Thanks to all who turned up for the meeting last evening, it was
particularly good to get three newcomers.
Alain stepped in at short notice with a presentation on Logical Volume
Management, questions from those present diverted him onto several
aspects related to the subject and gave him a very busy evening. Thanks
Alain.
To Marcim, George and John, the new faces, I hope we see you again next
month and please bring your questions (or ask them here if you wish).
Next months meeting is 6th November, hope to see as many as possible.
Cheers Cliff

Hi Cliff et al,

Apologies for my no show yesterday, we had a particularly broken
night of sleep the night before and after we'd got the brood to bed I
just looked forward to an early night! I had particularly looked
forward to Alains demo that I consoled myself with seeing next month.
Oh well.

Lets hope Neel or one of the other knowledgeable members can deliver
next month.

Hope to c u soon
Dave

Just to say thanks for a good evening and I'm sorry i had to depart early.
It's reassuring to know there's a personal resource available for help with
Linux. It was interesting to see the xen virtual machine and hear about lvm
as well as meet the other guys.

I look forward to next month.
Regards,
Jon.
