Both my Xerox Phaser 8500 printers collapsed during the weekend. I 
decided repairs were not practical
so after research decided on a Samsung CLP-620ND. I ordered it yesterday 
and it arrived this morning.

After connecting it, I couldn't 'see' it on the network. I opened up an 
XP guest and installed it from the
packaged CD.

When I registered it with Samsung, I was amazed to find that it listed 
Linux drivers alongside the Windows
and MAC ones. All effortless. I hadn't seen that before.

Incidentally, when I looked at the CD under Linux, only Linux items 
showed up!
