It certainly would work if *anything at all* would display SVG, which
it won't, at least not without plugins. It occurred to me that if the
standard Moz build was SVG-capable, then you could do one file with
both SVG and VML in it, and the VML would be ignored by Moz and the SVG
ignored by IE. However, you do still need bitmap images; think of
backgrounds, or screenshots in a presentation. If you're developing all
new content for the presentation software then you could provide vector
graphics (SVG or VML) backgrounds and images and a chart-designer and
so on, but the idea here is to not do that. You still can't embed
bitmap data into one page and have IE display it, so it won't work even
if everyone had an SVG or VML capability...
