Gawd.  I agree with everything that's been said in this thread so far 
(except that I *do* think your second point is a little over-stated - 
sure it's a middle-class thing, but it can't /just/ be for rich people's 
consciences as /I/ buy fairtrade stuff and I'm certainly not rich) but 
I'm going to don my tin hat and trusty asbestos suit for the thread I 
just *know* is coming... :)
