[Wolves] linux laptop/speech software

Errr, i think it may have been the other helen who was
asking about this.

however while we are on the subject does anyone know
of any good text to speech type arrangements that you
can get for linux. Ive had a quick scout around but
nothing really jumped out at me as been the clear
choise to use.
I currently have to reboot in to windows to use read
and write 7, as for those of you that dont know i have
dyslexia and i struggle to see the errors in my
writing, and this was the extortionalty priced, badly
written software that the powers that be provided. It
has this lovely "feature" where by it waits till you
try to click save in word, then it crashes, in most
cases taking word with it! Woohooo!
