I have installed Slackware on an old laptop to test the distro - not as easy
to install as SuSE 9.0 professional but it went in and following some post
install configuration it worked with the Gnome desktop as default.
I still have Slackware running but having tried it I am unable to see any
tangible benefits over SuSE but maybe I am missing something here - what are
others experiences of Slackware and what are the benefits over the more
mainstream distributions (SuSE, Mandrake and Red Hat (now Fedora))?
Is it worth persuing Slackware?
