Thought I tried posting to this regarding UML (UserModeLinux) yesterday 
from home.. but it's clearly failed (Horde is it your fault? Or user 
Error?). Anwyay, google for UML + Gentoo, you'll find there is a page 
which details how to setup UML on a RedHAt system, allowing you to give 
gentoo a trial run without having to reinstall etc.
