Registration is now open for the AFFS Annual Conference online at
http://www.affs.org.uk/affsac.html and talks should once again
concentrate on free software applications and practical promotion of free
software. The programme should be published this weekend. This is of
particular interest to West Midlands LUGs: it's really easy for your
members to get to and I think that we will have stand space spare for you
to promote your groups if you want. Please pass the URL on.

I think we have enough speakers now, but I've been surprised by the number
of drop-outs this year. I'd appreciate more offers to talk
about free software projects, which I'll use if slots become
available, especially if they are cool, visually stunning or you
appeared in a odd-looking magazine photo pose with maddog Please
email me directly with offers.

I believe there is still stand space available for hire by free
software businesses. Please email frontdesk at affs.org.uk if you are
interested in that.
