We are way, way off the techology needed to win a genuine turing
contest. The loebner prize is the closest thing that is available
because the rules limit conversation and randomness on the part of the

you are better off writing the whole thing in a scripting language to
allow quick prototyping off ideas. or write the whole thing in one
language and write the rules in xml. google for alicebot to see how
this works.

everythings a good idea until it is proved otherwise. One of the guys
on the SB lug list is an AI expert and teaches in one of brums uni's so
if you want to pursue this idea the SB list might also provide a bunch
of willing partisipants.
