Hi Mo
I use a Hayes external Modem at home on my Suse 9.1 although Suse thinks its
something else I'll have a look when I get home and post the info later.
It works fine although I did have freeserves number in twice which was a bit
annoying but I sorted that out if I remember correct all you have to do is
just use the dialler wizard.
I know some people have managed to get internals to work but IMHO you should
stick to external true hardware modems they work fine I spent months trying
so called fixes for my old internal modem but bit the bullet and bought the
Hayes at the time it was about £40.00 but I bet you can get them now for
about £15-£20
