Just beware if the dog finds a pair of wellies or a set of false teeth
in that canal.  My wife's dear departed granddad threw them in years
ago...

On this subject, he actually rescued a dog from out of that canal.  It
went on to have a very happy and long life with them....together with
the tortoises he also rescued :-)
