Although ADSL uses your phone line it behaves like a network (ethernet) 
connection for all purposes.
So to send a fax, you'll need a dial-up style modem in the pc, then this 
modem plugged into the  phoneline used  for  ADSL  but as if it were
a phone - ie into one of the filters then into the phone socket.
On the otherhand, certain types of adsl modem have a socket to plug the 
modem into, this does the same job - the filter is in  the modem.
