[Wolves] Apple helps Intel reach monopoly position

Everyone has been worrying about Microsoft's software monopoly for so 
long that we've forgotten that Unix was created to give hardware 
independence.

How does that work when there is only Intel and a couple of 
architecture-compatible clones? It reminds me of IBM in the seventies 
and early eighties. That can't be good for customers. Is there anyone 
left who can put up a fight?
