[Wolves] Debian FTP failure

Hi All

Debian:

Trying to use FTP to pull data in, I think its port 22 there is nothing in 
hosts.allow or hosts.deny FTP is allowed to connect to the remote site but 
when an attempt to pull data in is made nothing happens it just sits there.

Is this an IP tables problem? any thoughts
