[Wolves] Ftp to my server problem

Hiya,

I'm running wu-ftp on my web server (ubuntu 5.04) I'm trying to ftp pages to
it from Dreamweaver on my iMac G5. The problem is I can read files from my
server ok, but when I try to put files there it fails.

I've set the permissions for /var/www/ to me for read and write but I still
can't ftp files there. I need to be able to over write and delete.

Any ideas?
