forum never, chatroom if you mean irc try #wolveslug on freenode but you 
are more likely to catch lug members in #lugradio

67 messages is not close to the lug record.  Spam is unsolicited mail, 
mailing lists are not.

I have a theory that every Xth person to join a mailing list attempts to 
subvert the way the list works by introducing the idea of a web forum.  
Thank you for taking part in my survey I will get back to you with the 
results in due course.

Forums are balls, check the archives or google for hundreds of reasons.
