It could mean a whole host of things, Bobby.  It could be a dodgy DVD
was used to burn the data onto.  Or, the DVD may be good but your
burner just does not like it - try a different brand.  The download
could indeed be faulty but this can be checked by using the MD5
checksum which will verify the download.  My last thought is one I
have come across often, your optical drive may be faulty - on its way
out.  I have a few CD's/DVD's that read perfectly in one machine but
not another.  Nothing wrong with the disk but the drive is obviously
at fault.

So, try those options.  MD5 checksum and different disk and even
different drive.
