[Wolves] Bandwidth monitoring

Hi

Does anyone here know of a tool that will record
bandwidth usage across a network interface, both in
and out?

Basically I need to know the amount of traffic in in
MB (or KB or whatever) going in and out of a machine
so that it can be calculated at the end of every
month. The data would therefore need to survive an
ifdown or a reboot.

I notice my ISP (f2s.net) has a web interface that
details daily usage in and out, on and off peak and
also monthly stats. Something like that would be
great, but there is no indicator that it is an open
source app.

So far my googling has produced things that look
abandoned, I just wondered if anyone has any
suggetsions.
