The people in my story were actually replacing their
standalone Solaris/HPUX boxes with linux clusters
because it was cheaper to buy two "less reliable"
linux/x86 boxes to build a high-availability cluster
then one replacement HP box, so clusters may not be a
common sight in businesses but they do happen, and not
all clusters need to be top500.org contnders.
