I'm not sure it's exactly the same technology is it?

The SUSE one is the new Zen updater that Novell have owned for ages and
recently ported to Linux. This is the code they shoved into 10.1 fairly
late on.

I'm not sure what it is in Ubuntu but it isn't Zen (AFAIK)
