I often wonder if "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing" should be peoples 
desktop background? Just to remind them.

Doing lsusb etc, if you had no skills you'd probably have done the un-plug 
re-plug thing first then quite bluetooth and restarted which would have saved 
you time and posting.

I often get hung up on buggering around with supposed management commands when 
a simple quite the app will surfice.

The communication protocol will either work or not work there is no 
compatability issues, bluetooth dosen't give a stuff if its Linux or Windows 
even Mac for that matter.
