We believe that this tool is useful for people on the move. Ideally it
should be used in conjunction with IMAP mail servers to ensure that
locally cached data is also held on remote servers. This allows
recoverability in case of equipment failure or loss. IMAP is also
likely to be important in a business environment to ensure that email
traffic is logged and readable by people other than the direct end-user.

I do apologize. There is a lack of documentation explaining how to make
it work on Linux. We have reports of Mobility Email successfully
running on Fedora Core 4 with WINE. No special WINE tweaks were used,
just the command 'wine email.exe' started the client.

You are welcome. I'm glad you're having fun with it. The website for
the email client remains www.mobilityemail.net and hopefully we'll be
expanding the documentation over time to help people deploy the
technology effectively. A key thing to ensure is that the Mobility
Email client is used as part of a larger security process rather than an
attempt at a 'one-stop-shop' for secure mobile infrastructure. After
all, the weakest link in the security chain is likely to be the
end-user. The client must be introduced along with training and a clear
idea of its overall function in a business environment.

Let me know what happens!

Shane
