No chris, my rant was not a 'purile M$-bashing' session at all. It
was an account of a personal experience that I wished to share to show
just what is going on in the MS world. Nobody can afford to just bury
their heads in the sand when it comes to MS. They are quick to spread
FUD about Linux and other OS's so I feel it is up to us to tell the
truth about any experiences we have with MS products.

I'm not an out an out MS basher at all. I used Win 2000 for years
very successfully. Prior to that I was fairly happy with all the Win
95 incarnations starting from version 'b' and yes, I do include the
often pilloried Win Me. The computer I am using right now is running
XP and, despite my dragging of feet to actually use it I find it's ok.
Now, I do much prefer to use Linux and I have a permanently on
Kubuntu 7.10 PC in my workshop.

So please, don't try to make me out as an out and out MS basher when
I'm not. My experience of Vista is that it is awful, simple as that.
I'm not relaying what somebody else has said this is personal
experience.
