Hi All

Let me say right up front I'm infected with some sort of cold come
dreaded lergy so I'm definitely in a "Biting Babies" mood.

As an avid follower of Linux Haters blog I notice yet another
incredulity this morning, Wine is bragging about getting Google Chrome
to run on Linux!
My first thought was "Why!" seeing as IMO its a steaming pile of
pointlessness cruddy bloat. Along with Twitter and the new kid on the
block Dopplr.
But then while reading I started to agree with the open source sentiments.

How come Google Chrome, supposedly born of open source code, is for
Windows? And why, as LH says, does the community have to lash up some
band aid, a twig, three elastic bands and some super glue to make it
work on Linux?

I don't really want an answer as I couldn't give a toss for Google
Chrome but its a possible prime example of the failure of freedom, only
the rich can afford to do anything with it the rest of us end up with
scraps and have to 'make do' with a glass of wine.

Cough, cough, splutter, splutter come here and let me breath on you.
