What about an IBM ThinkPad X41 or X61? Virtually fullsize keyboard,
small enough screen (though only 1024x768), up to 1.5GB RAM, and
any size HDD you want? Oh, and all the hardware works with Debian
& Ubuntu ;)
I've been using one for a few years, since I had to give back my
12in iBook when a project finished. It's not as portable as a
9in netbook, but the keyboard is great, it has a proper ThinkPad
pointer, not a touchpad, and it's small enough to use on the
tiny fold-down trays on commuter trains. :)
