This is true, however many of these 'pads' are utter crap. for example 
the ASUS Transformer is a lovely bit of kit but an utter pile of junk 
with constant lockups and keyboard failures. It's had more firmware 
updates applied than a Broad Street tarts had customers.

Having said that I agree with you it should really be "Pads".

We officially became a 3rd world country in 1997 the so called BRIC's 
dominate the world now. (Brazil, Russia, India and China.)
