Pete, you are getting to be an old pedantic :D  welcome to the club ;)

Now, me?  I do hate Ubuntu.  Because of the Unity desktop though which
I think is just vile.  So do I say I genuinely hate Ubuntu or is it
just the top showy bits rather than the underpinnings?  Ultimately,
it's Debian which I do like.  But then I like SuSE and Red Hat
(bases).
