The few times I've met him I've found him very hard work and very anti social at a basic level nothing to do with outside view points etc.
He didn't seem to be particularly smelly  although the Wildman look beard gives you that impression.
I'm not sure he appreciated me giving him a bit of his own medicine  when he tried been sarcastic...I don't care  that he went to MIT or whatever ;-)

I've never really given him much thought other than some of his views are just unworkable in the modern world."
