Thanks Steve, that's a kind offer. At the moment I have no desire to
migrate the mailing list out of lug.org.uk as they've been exemplary
custodians and I don't really want to get into the weeds of trying to
migrate, lose or split the mailing list archive.

That said, Mailman 3 does look better as you say and yes, as someone
mentioned outside of the list recently, Mailman 2 stores your password
in plain text.

Anyone who didn't realise that and is using a password they use for
other things should probably go change their password to something they
don't use for anything else here:

https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/options/wolves

If you don't want that password mailed to you on a monthly basis, turn
that off in the same place.

Note that when you signed up, the mailing list sign up page says the
following:

"You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild
security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription.
Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back
to you in cleartext."

FWIW, I can't see your passwords.

Hopefully the lug.org.uk admins will upgrade to Mailman 3 in the near
future, though having looked at it, it doesn't appear to be trivial so I
wouldn't expect it in a hurry. Did you upgrade from 2.1 to 3 Steve or
just start afresh?
