[Wylug-announce] Next Meeting - Monday 10th September 2001

Greetings all,

Network security, network security, network security seemed to be the flavour
of last month - thanks to everyone who participated. We will be revisiting
some aspects of that in the October meeting, when Owen LeBlanc from the
Machester Computing Centre will give a presentation on securing a Linux
System.

Meanwhile this coming Monday, 10th Sept., we have Tobias Schiebeck talking
about MagicPoint - an X11 based presentation tool, and Nigel Metheringham will
talk about Uninterruptable Power Supplies and their management under Linux.
Eclectic mix or what? At least it's not networking topics!

I'm short of a someone to do a short second talk or demo in October - any
volunteers? Get in touch with me direct. Let me know if there is a topic you
would like to hear about that could be done in 30mins or so, I might be able
to twist someone's arm.

No flapjack this month I'm afraid.
