Greetings all,
Thanks to Nick for the talk about unixODBC at the last meeting.
This month Phil Latio is going to demo and talk us through the
installation and setup of a Web Server on a Linux box. Phil's still
working on this, but his early post to the wylug-discuss list said......
"Perform the following from on a PC preinstalled with Redhat 7.1 and
Linuxconf.
- install mysql
- install apache --with mysql
- install php4 --with mysql --with apxs
- install vhost
Then demonstrate setting up sample websites including DNS, sendmail, etc
using vhost. http://chaogic.com/vhost/
"
For future meeting, I have not been mown under with offers of short topics
talks - in fact none!
Anyone care to volunteer for future talks? Or know of people to approach?
See you all on Monday,
cheers
Jim
