ManLUG meetings for May and June 2002.
18 May 2002, 14:00, usual place. (For more information, see
our web site: http://www.manlug.man.ac.uk, under 'How to find us'.)
Reminder: Please bring a 'photo ID' to show the porters if you are
asked.
Installfest. We'll try to have recent versions of as many Linux
distributions as possible, certainly including S.u.S.E 8.0 and
Debian woody or potato. There will also be the latest version
of FreeBSD and (if you have networking on your machine)
OpenBSD or NetBSD. I understand very recent versions of Mandrake
and even Red Hat will also be available.
Thanks to the generosity of S.u.S.E and of O'Reilly, we have some
books and some copies of S.u.S.E Professional to give away as
door prizes, as well as some T shirts.
15 June 2002, 14:00, usual place. (For more information, see
our web site: http://www.manlug.man.ac.uk, under 'How to find us'.)
No committed speakers yet! I've given up on all these people who
say they'd like to give a talk, and never produce one. So if you
do have a talk, please let me know as soon as possible, giving
me a summary and a title that I can spread around. If no one
comes up with a decent suggestion, you might have to listen
to me again!
