Greetings All,
Thanks to Rik for the Introduction to IP networking last month, Rik has
"volunteered" (hope the arm is out of the sling - rik :-) to do a
follow-up covering the practicalities of setting up and testing basic IP
networking under Linux.
Thanks also to Peter for the talk on Security Contexts and Vservers.
This month we have Alisdair Kergon talking about Logical Volume Management
under Linux. The talk aims to introduce LVM concepts and tools under Linux
and discuss the architecture used for the new LVM2/device mapper in the
2.6 kernel and the extra features and performance improvements it
provides. Kernel night is early this year :-)
Hope to see a lot people on Monday. Should be a good session.
cheers
Jim
