I think it is more so to do with software... In theory webcams shouldnt have
a lag, but when you are interacting over the net, there is a lag, firstly
because the no. of frames per second are greatly reduced, hence giving blocky
movement and secondly because the video needs to be processed (i am not sure about
this one) before it is sent, yet again allowing a lapse between the real
world and the movie.
