I an an almost ex natwest customer, and yes, IE really annoyed me. It
used to also work in /one/ version netscape (4.76 rings a bell). I sent
them a letter about it a couple of years ago, and their reply (which I
may or may not have shared here) was telling me that IE is the only
browser they can trust, and that IE and Mozilla/newNetscape wasn't
trustworthy. I laughed lots that day!

When I go upstairs I'll try with crossover, it did used to work as you say.

Well since I'm almost about to close my remaining accounts I don't think
they'd care what I say (although I have already voiced my complaints,
albeit a couple of years ago!)

I now use HSBC and Nationwide, both of which work in any browser I've
tried (well, that'd be IE and Opera!). HSBC's online banking leaflet
said that it'd work in /any/ www browser/device which supports the
relevant https stuff. (I shold be honest and say that that wasn't
my reason for moving to hsbc, their mortgage offer was!)
