Hi Matt

Housing in Leeds is not cheap and there has been a lot of new build flats @ from £120k up. At the moment there is a surplus of new build and prices are levelling out, so there may be some bargains (relatively speaking) and certainly its worth giving a few estate agents a ring. As to where to live IN the city, I really have no idea, but I'm sure there are people here who could guide you. Mostly, stay north of the City Centre and avoid Chapel Allerton and surrounding area. But there are lots of new posh boxes within a few minutes bus ride of the station. Of course a cheaper house on the train line may be more realistic. Headingley is a good start and has a nice feel, shops and good buses and a variety of housing. The train from Exeter is probably a 4 hour journey, but you need to come and look.

Best of luck

Nick
