web-mania are York based (but host in RedBus - London, Docklands).
The web service has been pretty good other than the 2 power outages
RedBus have had this year (if you can find the information on those you
will find a relatively amusing description of how redundancy and
additional provisioning is just not up to competing with high level
idiocy).
The web services do what they claim. Speed might not be the fastest
around but its pretty good.
The DNS comment was really very much in relation to my DNS requirements
- you can do DNS manipulations related to pointing names to bits of
webspace, but you cannot set arbitrary A records, or modify MX etc.
