Nigel,

I spent some time getting nowhere much with this issue. It seems companies can't chuck electrical 
items away. I asked the Environment Agency how they should be disposed of. They said contact your 
local council and the council say pay a company to do it. I then wrote to the Environment Agency 
asking how to become a company that can accept electrical waste and what the regulations were, but 
didn't get a reply ... 

If you find out any more, please let us know!

PS - We have a 4 year replacement cycle here for PCs - there are a few of last years PIII 866MHz PC 
boxes still left at £30 if anyone is interested ...
