Anyone with a fetish for determining the MUA that sent a particular
message should also look into other ways of working it out. Pine is
actually quite easy: its message IDs always begin "<Pine.???.", where
"???" is a three-character-ism for the OS Pine is running on. So John's
message that I'm replying to here has the message ID

  <Pine.LNX.4.64.0602020853430.31244 at vev10.yrrqf.np.hx>

And I also note that something is rot13ing the domain part of the
message ID, presumably so that spam harvesters don't try to send emails
to nonexistent addresses.
