I was interested to pick up on the story that a guy from your part of
the world has managed to get a refund out of Dell by agreeing not to use
Windows on his new laptop.

I've blogged this briefly at
http://community.zdnet.co.uk/blog/0,1000000567,2000331766b,00.htm but I
was wondering whether you had heard of any other examples of Linux users
managing to get a refund from their PC supplier because they didn't use
Windows. Also wondered whether you happened to know the guy - Dave
Mitchell - I guess he must be a member of a LUG in your neck of the
woods.

It would be cool to hear from you.
