Good point I created the tunnel "though web front end" whilst on a
UKERNA IP range then setup my endpoint at home.

If I go to the UKERNA broker signup page from a non-academic IP address,
it tells me to get lost, so I guess they aren't.

"The user registration service is only available from within a UK Higher
Education establishment"
