I was poking holes at the proposed methodology, rather than suggesting
WYLUG shouldn't do advocacy. I do think advocacy of free software is
important and LUGs seem a good place to encourage it.

I agree - I just think you could do better in promoting the discussion.
The test methodology thing just seemed rather inaccessible and
flamebaity. Perhaps I'm just being overly sensitive.
I thought your example e-mail regarding the ISO fast track, and your
general advice on tactics were awesome. Very encouraging.
