Have disabled iptables as there are no services other than apache and
some home brew Perl running on the box which is protected by ACLs on
network kit.

That's running Fedora 7, but there shouldn't be many (if any)
differences. 
	It's also worth noting that (on my install anyway) ip6tables
wasn't turned on by default. For the most part you can copy your
/etc/sysconfig/iptables to /etc/sysconfig/ip6tables, but you may need to
do some hacking if you've got any IPv4 addresses in it (for obvious
reasons) and also ICMP types are different under IPv6. For example:
	--reject-with icmp-host-prohibited -> --reject-with port-unreach
