Provision is actually with The Cloud, and -based on this
past month's experience- some pubs have been offering the
service longer than it's been advertised as available or
on trial.
You will need to get the leaflet from the bar (folded
A4; there are diagrams and instructions for Windows and Mac)
for the username and password. Unlike the Stick, Beckett's
Bank had plenty of these.
Sadly this means the "should just work" advice from the
Stick's bar staff the day before was a poor reinterpretation
of the window stickers' "switch on your wi-fi enabled laptop
and start surfing" at best (unless, say, Windows hops on the
strongest unsecured signal by default? That would be
worrying) but -on the other hand- thumbs up for the
attention to detail within the leaflets.
HTH,
Wills.
PS. There's a distinct lack of small print, including
anything about buying any drinks at all ... though there is
a subtle hint they might prefer it if you did (no, I won't
spoil the "surprise").
