Bear in mind, though, that Fedora has KDE4 and some other desktops, but not 
KDE3 desktop.  If KDE is the preferred option, choice has to be made between 
the familiarity of KDE3 in a different distro or a steeper learning curve with 
KDE4.  Of course Gnome desktop and a few lighter ones are also available.

OTOH, one or two distros, Mandriva for instance, do offer both KDE3 and KDE4.
